Chris Sansone, of Sugar Land, Texas, said he decided to get his real estate license in 2000 so that he could buy real estate and investment properties. A friend asked him for assistance listing their house. Others soon followed. Chris, who was still working full-time at another business, asked Lizz to step in and help out on a part-time basis.
“That quickly turned into full time,” she said.
As Lizz’s business started growing organically, Chris decided to leave his other job and join his wife full-time.
The couple also decided to explore coaching programs to propel their business to even greater heights.
‘Buffini — A Great Fit’
The Buffini & Company work by referral was a “great fit for both of us,” Lizz said.
“Everything, the whole system really resonated with us,” Chris added. “We wanted to take care of our clients.”
Working with a Buffini coach, the couple saw their business continue to dramatically grow, from $150,00 in gross commissions in 2007 to approximately $2 million in 2023.
“That is totally legit and there’s nothing else to be said,” Chris said of those results. “The proof is in the pudding.”
The Joy of Team Success
As the Sansones’ business grew, they also decided to start a team. They now have nine members.
Buffini training is a crucial part of their onboarding process, said Lizz, who is also a Buffini Certified Mentor.
“We follow the notes, calls and Pop-Bys and have trained our team that way so anybody even coming onto our team immediately starts out in a Buffini course,” she said.
Although they are of course thrilled with their own results, Chris noted that it’s the couple’s “greatest joy” to see their member’s individual success.
“We want them to be successful and build their own businesses within ours,” he stressed.
“Our motto [for] our team is trying to live the good life,” Lizz said. “Not just Chris and I, but also our team members as well.”
Logan Lester, a buyer’s specialist with the group, has seen the impressive impact of that approach in her own business.
“Since I’ve been working for the Sansone group and being a part of the Buffini system, I started my first year of business barely making under $10,000,” she said. “And now I’m an over $30-million producer.”
Lizz noted that another agent who had just started out had eight new buyers after completing their first Buffini course.
The Value of Coaching
Chris believes that working with a coach is “so important,” especially for new agents.
“People struggle,” he said. “Everyone knows how many agents don’t make it. So, if you really want to be on the side of those that make it, you really need a coach. You know you’re starting a business; you’re running a business — you have to treat coaching as just a cost of doing business.”
